Dimensions

This furniture comes in all sorts of designs and sizes. To know what size is right, think of what you will be putting there. Do you intend to use it for the laptop only? Or will it be used to store books, a printer and other computer peripherals? How much space is available in the room?

Will the unit fit into the doorway? If you have a flat screen monitor, you will need less space. But if you use a CRT monitor, you will need more room. If the model has any shelving, ensure that it is a fit for the monitor.

Ergonomics

Ergonomics determines how comfortable you will be when using the white computer desk. Do you require a model with tilting capabilities? Some models can be used while standing up while others only when sitting down.

If you need a model that can be used when standing up, check the product specs. What materials are used for the construction of the unit? Are they constructed from hypoallergenic materials? Is it big enough for wheelchairs?

Height and Weight

How high do you want the furniture to reach? For the most comfortable use, look for models that can adjust the height of the monitor and keyboard. Note that the average desk is 30 inches tall. Many people prefer to type at much lower levels. If the chair comes with armrests, make certain they can fit below the desk.

Other Features

Wheels can be a convenient feature especially if you move it around. However it won’t be necessary if you just keep the model in a single location. Holes for wires are also convenient; you can use them to organize the cables and keep your table clean. By placing all the wires in one hole, they will stay in place.

There are also models with storage for surge protectors. Most of these models have warranties good for 5 to 15 years. The higher the quality, the longer the warranty will be. Of course these are more expensive.

Finally, remember that the white computer desks come in different shapes. The rectangle shape is still the most popular, but there are other variants available.
